Oils have incorporated their way into each and every one of our beauty regimens and they aren’t slowing down any time soon. From argan, jojoba, olive, and avocado, to coconut, emu, rose hip and squalane, oils provide many different beauty benefits to our skin and hair. My current oil obsession stems from one of DermStore’s [...]

About me: I am an avid beauty and fashion lover/reader/devotee whose nose is always stuck in WWD/Beauty Inc. I am constantly trying new things – from products, food, places, or much more. Spending time with friends and family, traveling far and near, listening to my revered country bands, and watching the Angels play ball are just a few of my favorite pastimes.
What’s in your beauty bag: You mean bags?! So many products, but a few are definitely my go-tos: Manna Kadar Long Wear Lipstick – Pretty Smart, Kevyn Aucoin The Celestial Bronzing Veil, Butter London 3 Free Nail Lacquer Vernis-Trout Pout, Epionce Lytic Gel Cleanser, Batiste Dry Shampoo Dark and Deep Brown and Nick Chavez Angel Wings Super-Light Hair Spray… just to name a few.
#1 must have product: Prive Vanishing Oil. It adds shine to wet, dry, curled, frizzy or straight hair without any oily weight.
Best beauty tip: Always try something different! A new day should bring different product than yesterday – a new shade of lipstick, a different accent nail, or a curling iron instead of a straightener.
Your biggest beauty concern: Acne scars. I always had a hard time dealing with acne when I was younger, and now I am stuck with the left behind scars. I try and use the best product which will not only conceal the scars, but help eliminate them.
Skin type: combination chaos
For those of us lucky enough to live in sunny California, summer is basically here! This puts a few fun things on our mind: sun, sand, tans and beach days. For those of us unlucky enough to have blemishes and scars, summertime is especially exciting because the sun and salt dry out our oily skin [...]
A scenic picture of the Newport Beach sunset garners a #nofilter hashtag, your birthday balloons receive a bright instagram filter, and the group shot of you and your girlfriends gets put through a 3-app ringer with contrast adjustment, lighting manipulations, filter effects, and a blur bubble. Why? Because your face has to be absolutely flawless [...]
If your friends are anything like mine, then I’m sure you can relate to the standard MO of planning things at the last minute. Not just any “things” mind you, but exciting things like New Year’s Eve! Friends will be coming from all over the place but no one can agree on the right party, [...]

I have been in search of a good hair dryer for about 5 years. My mom always had the expensive salon worthy tools and my sister always had the cheap drugstore appliances. I was somewhere in the middle and for some awful reason, nothing ever seemed to work wonders on my mane. They were too [...]
We all know that the key to getting gorgeous hair starts with the tools you use, which is why I have a whole bathroom cabinet dedicated to every appliance imaginable. Six hot tools and one hour later, the damage my tresses are left with is not something I’m willing to brag about. Maybe if I [...]

There are endless perks to working for a company who partners with over 700 brands, however there is one irritating aspect of the job as well: my mother thinks all I have to do is cast some abracadabra spell over her face to magically make her wrinkles go away in an instant. WRONG. Sorry, Mom [...]
How many times have we received the same advice about what happens to our well-being when we are put under stress? About a million. Groupon throws thousands of “stress-relieving” massages at us for discounted rates, advertisers say we need sleep performance sheets to aid in our stress driven lack of Z’s, and fitness gurus insist [...]
