As a self-professed skin care junkie I have little problem with the amount of product I use on a daily basis. Unfortunately it is difficult to give your skin the attention it requires when you are at the gym or traveling. My gym bag isn’t very big and I prefer it that way, so I can’t put an entire spa in there along with a change of clothes and my running shoes. I’ve used Anthony for Men products before and I was very happy to find out about the very aptly named Logistics For Men Grab and Go Travel Kit which fulfills most of my skin care needs when I’m not at home.
Each product is travel-sized and meets Federal carry-on regulations for most airlines so I’ll definitely be taking this with me when I go to Vegas this Summer. The glycolic facial cleanser gently exfoliates and unclogs my pores as it brightens my complexion, a perfect cleanser for my oil and sensitive skin. If I need a little more exfoliation the facial scrub which utilizes white sand coral powder for a perfect non-abrasive amount of grit. It also features coconut glucosides which condition and protect your skin from environmental aggressors and the grapefruit oil tones and minimizes my pores.
The Shave Cream says it’s fragrance free however I do notice a very cool minty herbaceous aroma which appears to come from the mint, eucalyptus and menthol extracts, so it would be more accurate to say that this shave cream is free of artificial fragrances. I still need to bring along my own pre-shave sensitive skin treatment regimen detailed in a previous blog but the cream itself is chock full of revitalizing botanical oils and extracts that soften, soothe and hydrate my skin for a pretty comfortable shave.
Each shower stall at the gym across the street from my work features a shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispenser which is nice but the quality of the ingredients these products use leave something to be desired, or so says my hair and skin. This is why I love that this kit comes with a nutrient-rich body wash infused with aloe, glycerin, wheat proteins and vitamins that give my skin the daily boost it needs. It also features a bright citrus scent which is one of my favorite types of fragrances.
The Everyday Shampoo reminds me of the high-quality shampoo they use when you go to a salon. It also features coconut glucosides and surfactants to gently remove dirt, excess oil and product buildup from your hair without stripping it of essential moisture. I tend to have an oily scalp and hair and this shampoo indicates that it’s for normal to dry hair but I find it works well enough on my hair without turning the top of my head into the BP Gulf spill.
The only product that you could conceivably use outside of the locker room or bath room would be the Advanced Formula Lip Balm SPF25. For some odd reason my lips tend to get persistently dry after I shave so this nutrient-rich lip balm is the perfect rescue for my lips with some considerable long-term benefits with continued use. A nourishing blend of avocado oil and shea butter deliver rich doses of essential Omega fatty acids that help your skin stay hydrated while promoting firmness and elasticity. Resveratrol is a wonder ingredient that actually increases the volume (thickness) of the epidermal layers by encouraging and optimizing healthy cell growth. I would not characterize it as a lip-plumper but with continued use your lips will appear fuller and healthier. UV fliters and green tea polyphenols defend against environmental damage and free radicals to prevent the visible signs of premature aging and natural stevia leaf extract lips your lips a light hint of sweetness.
All of this comes in a handy grooming bag with perforated racing leather accents that easily fits all of these products with room to spare, so you can take the spa with you wherever you go so your skin is always pampered and refreshed.
