Definitely ZINC OXIDE which is become harder and harder to find now a days!! Almost all the spray on sunscreens are these crazy chemicals that have been getting really bad reps lately so I want to stick to the tried and true basics! I live in Florida and work outside in a garden all day so I would LOVE to get my hands on some of this!!

Mineral sunblock without nanoparticles is the safest choice
Non-micronized titanium dioxide or zinc oxide sunblock is the safest choice for protecting against UVA and UVB rays. Unfortunately, sunblock labels most often do not disclose whether the product contains nanoparticles.

Technically, it’s the shade. It blocks 100% of all UVA and UVB. But I know that is not the answer you seek. It is any suncreen/sunblock that contains zinc oxide.

Zinc Oxide for its broad spectrum UVA/UVB blocking properties. Titanium Dioxide is a close second. Both are considered non-comedogenic as their particles are too large to be absorbed into the skin and instead act as a barrier between skin and ultraviolet radiation.

Zinc Oxide is the “magic” ingredient! Amazing results since I started using Elta UV Physical SPF 41!

Zinc Oxide with Titanium Dioxide next. Physical sunscreen ingredients are so much better than chemical. I prefer physical myself, even thought a lot of the physical ingredients leave your skin white and pasty looking, but it’s better to look like a ghost and be protected.

Zinc Oxide is the safest and most effective UVA/UVB blocking ingredient. Especially with the relentless summers we have here in Michigan, as even our cloudy days can cause sun burn and I never venture out unprotected.
