No one likes to see the same makeup trends every single season or the same fall colors recycled every year. When it’s time to take a look at what color trends I’ll be wearing for fall, there’s a part of me that’s hesitant because I don’t want to see or write about the same ones over, and OVER again. I almost jumped for joy, after researching what’s in store this year. It’s not the bronzey, oranges that you see with the leaves. The fall 2011 makeup trends are shockingly bright, beautiful and are giving winter a run for its money. While we don’t expect you to show up anywhere with every color trend on, here are my must-try favorites while the leaves change.
There is a lot of 60’s and 70’s inspiration behind runway looks this year. If you haven’t already picked up a bright colored eyeliner and practiced your thick eye lines, get on the band wagon already. Instead of doing the regular cat eye, switch up with a sea-foam green, violet or electric blue liner. If you choose to do a lighter shade like the sea-foam green, remember that the darker your skin, the deeper the color should be for stand out results. Aren’t into the brights but love the smoky eye? We’re so used to the jet set black or charcoal brown smoky eye look that it’s gotten a little boring. Put a sexy spin on the smoky eye trend with a darker metallic green with hints of black. Pair it with a pale pink or deep rusty-red lip for
an easy day to night look.

There’s one fall makeup trend that I’m dying to try on my eyes: Navy and gold! I haven’t tried anything denim or dark blue in… well ever! Brushing a deep navy eyeshadow on my lids with a gold liner is edgy yet classic enough to be uniform.
Don’t forget about the lips! Lips are taking a very daring turn by bringing out gorgeously dark colors for fall. Russet red, burgundy and magenta are all shades to shoot for while keeping the rest of your makeup simple. Celebrities like Miranda Kerr and Emma Stone have already rocked this lip color trend on the red carpet solidifying it as the sexiest lip look of fall. Do it yourself with a lip stain and a touch of gloss.
If you’re daring enough mix these trends up! If it were up to Tom Ford, you’d be dolled up like you’re going to Studio 54. Bold and Beautiful!
What fall makeup trend will you be trying this season?
