Memorial Day Inspiration: The Staycation

La Roche Posay’s Anthelios 60 Ultra Light Sunscreen Lotion SprayOxygenetix Oxygenating Foundation in Yellow Undertones – Creme

While everyone is gearing up for his or her Memorial Day 3-day weekend, I am doing the opposite. I’ve decided my ultimate summer destination will be a staycation at home. I’m eagerly anticipating a weekend filled with bike riding (no driving for this girl), pampering and time spent with family and friends. Home sweet home never sounded so good! I’m ready for my 3 day weekend of relaxation and fun to begin! Here are some of the highlights I’m looking forward to:

Gardening:

My beau and I are taking full advantage of our outdoor space and have planted a small vegetable garden. While we may not have Martha Stewart’s green thumb, we are pleasantly surprised to see our tomato plant is ready for his famous marinara sauce. Bring on the gluten-free pasta!

Biking/Hiking:

Since moving away from the beach, I’ve been neglecting my bike (and my workouts). This weekend I vow to avoid my car at all costs and take advantage of the beautiful Cali sunshine. Of course I will be wearing plenty of sun protection thanks to La Roche Posay’s Anthelios 60 Ultra Light Sunscreen Lotion Spray.  It’s one of my favorites because it’s easy to apply for quick touch-ups.

Night on the Town

With so many reasons to celebrate this coming weekend, I’ll be making the most of it. Sarah, our Account Manager and Devon, our blush Curator, just shared with me Oxygenetix. I’m very thankful they did because this new foundation completely won me over with it’s all day coverage and texture. It feels like a tinted moisturizer because it’s light but once you put it one, you can tell the difference. Your skin actually breathes. It’s wonderful and I had to pass it on!

Relaxation:

I’ll be taking some time to just sit and enjoy my surroundings but also pay respect to the men and women who have fought for our freedom. Give respect and be thankful for all the sacrifices they have made and continue to make. Cheers to the 3-day weekend ahead and be safe!
