I’m graduating this week and I cannot begin to tell you how stressed out I get during finals week, especially with graduation and family coming in from out of town. My eyes get so tired, my body feels ten years older, even my hair feels very dry. I decided to put together some of my favorite stress relief tips to share with you, from candles to foot creams, the idea is to get the best out of this stressful week so that I can look back and say “it wasn’t that bad.”
For the last two weeks my own personal homework is to make the best out of everything and to try to make myself feel somewhat better. I suggest taking an invigorating bath by adding a few pumps of the Stress Relief Treatment Oil by Dermalogica. This product smells so good!! It relaxes me and leaves me ready for bed. I usually try to light a candle to help relax me and I just tried the Lavender Soy Candle by basq skin care and it is working wonderfully. After I get out of the bath and if I still have time I usually try to massage my feet or apply a foot cream, something minty feels good.
When I decide to stay up late studying it reflects on my eyes the next day. I usually apply an anti-puff eye cream and try to stay awake. During the day and also while I study I usually need a “pick me up”. Spraying on some thermal spring water definitely wakes me up. Right now I’m using Aromatherapy Lavender Body Spray by Kerstin Florian and I never thought that lavender could be so relaxing and soothing.
Earlier I discuss that my hair gets dry and unmanageable; I started using the Karite Intense Nourishing Oil by Rene Furterer and it certainly has helped to hydrate my hair. There are many other ways to relieve stress. Weather you decide to follow my steps or go a different route it is important to realize that no matter how much stress is in your life, you should always try to take care of yourself first.
